As anyone who knows me well, knows of my love of owls (Barred Owls being my favorite). Ive recently discovered I'm not alone in this fascination with these night-loving birds. There is a lot of mystery to the behavior of owls, and maybe it's because they like to stay out of sight, but I've always been intrigued by them. In recent years my fondness of them became more personal.
Starting in 2018 I would have a Barred Owl come visit the tall pines around my property in West Virginia in the wee hours (3:00 AM'ish) in very late winter/early spring. He would hoot a mating call that would echo over my hill, in the most hauntingly beautiful way. And as much as I love the 'who cooks for you' hoot they are known for, this specific hoot moved me to my depths. Maybe it was the emotional space I am often in at that time of year, or perhaps it was knowing my grandmother and father had likely also heard this same hoot every year in the same pines, but I would stay up and listen to that hooting with smiles and tears. Some cultures believe owl sightings are a sign of a loved one providing comfort, wisdom, and protection from the afterlife. All I know is that I'm thankful for them.

Each owl weighs 10 oz (that's a good 3 bars of soap if you decide to cut it up!)
If your soap could use more curing time for best use I will note it for you at shipping. All are safe to use, but a full cure ensures best performance.
Ingredients: Olive Oil, Tallow, Coconut Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Avocado Oil, Salt Water, Goat milk, Sodium Hydroxide, Castor Oil, Skin Safe Fragrance and/or Essential Oils, Mica, Titanium Dioxide.
